A woman on a bicycle was struck at Route 179 and Gildersleeve Avenue in Canton on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of an SUV was at a stop sign, and turned left onto Route 179, when the vehicle and the bicyclist collided, according to police.
The person suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
Route 179 was closed between Route 202, the Albany Turnpike, and Maple Avenue, State Highway 565.
