A New Britain woman wearing a cast on her foot has been charged with assault for allegedly kicking a child.
Kristen Belanger, 32, faces charges for kicking the child, then allegedly kicking police officers who went to investigate, said authorities.
They found the woman hiding under a bed after police responded to a neighbor's call about an assault of a child, police said. They add that when they pulled Belanger out from under the bed, she kicked a sergeant and some officers.
She's facing several charges includes assault, disorderly conduct, risk of injury to a child and interfering with police.
