Man Arrested on Threatening, Assault Charges in Hartford

Hartford police have arrested a 49-year-old local man accused of assaulting his stepson and pointing a gun at his wife.

A woman called police at 7:21 p.m. on Monday and said her husband, who is also the stepfather of her 28-year-old son, had assaulted the son and pointed a gun at her.

Police said the suspect, Keith Vincent, 49, of Hartford, had run off before police arrived, but they found him behind 258 Capen Street and took him into custody.

Officers found a loaded .38 caliber revolver outside Vincent’s home and determined he assaulted his stepson and his friend, police said.

No serious injuries were reported.

Vincent was charged with breach of peace, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree threatening, interfering with police, third-degree assault and criminal possession of a firearm.
