Man Charged in Theft of $3,000 in Golf Equipment in Glastonbury

Police said a West Hartford man sold stolen clubs to a golf outlet.

A man suspected of being an accomplice to a well-dressed thief in Glastonbury who stole golf clubs from open garages has been arrested on more charges.

Justin Scalise, 22, of West Hartford, was arrested after an investigation into the thefts of $3,500 worth of golf equiment from a Glastonbury residence in October, police said.

He was arrested during a court appearance on Feb. 4 and has been charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree.

Police had previously arrested him and another man in connection with seven other similar burglaries.

Police previously said Scalise participated in burglaries, then sold several stolen clubs at a golf outlet in Hartford.

Bond was set at $150,000.
