A Middletown, New Jersey man is hospitalized with life-threatening head injuries after he and two other men stole a golf cart from the Yale Bowl at 2:26 a.m. on Sunday and took it for a ride around a New Haven neighborhood about half a mile away, police said.
As the three men cruised around the area of Oliver Road and Alden Avenue, the 27-year-old victim fell off the cart and sustained serious injuries, according to New Haven police.
The man was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Police found the golf cart abandoned behind 2000 Chapel St. and said they are investigating.
