Man Found With Pants Down: Cops

Police said Michael Chupick, 63, of Shelton, could not say why his pants were down.

Shelton police have charged a man with public indecency after finding him with his pants down, police said.

Shelton Police went to Riverview Park, on Howe Avenue around 11 a.m. on Tuesday to investigate a report of a suspicious man in a vehicle that had been near Birchbank Road.

The officer who approached the vehicle noticed Michael Chupick, 63, of Shelton, in the driver’s seat with his pants down, police said.

Chupick could not explain why his pants were down or why he was in the area, police said.

He was charged him with public indecency, released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at Derby Court on May 1.

Police said they responded to a report of a suspicious male in a similar vehicle in the same area yesterday but were unable to locate the male at that time.
