Police ID Man Shot and Killed in Meriden



    Man Injured in Meriden Shooting

    Police said the man was found outside a home on Foster Street.

    A 21-year-old man who was shot in Meriden Thursday evening has died, according to police.

    Police have identified the victim as 21-year-old Aaron Joseph Ormsby.

    Officers found him outside a Foster Street home when they responded after getting a 911 call at 6:30 p.m. reporting shots fired.

    Ormsby was transported to Midstate Medical Center and police said they later learned that he died from the injuries.

    The Meriden Police Major Crime Division is in charge of the case and determined that this was an isolated incident, police said.

    It’s not yet clear how many people might be involved in the shooting.
