Stratford police arrested a man accused of threatening to shoot his neighbor’s dog for being too aggressive on Monday.
When two of Anthony Ruelle’s neighbor’s dogs started to fight on Monday, Ruelle grabbed a gun and threatened to shoot a dog, police said.
Then, he fired four rounds into the lawn at 48/50 Riverview Place, according to the police report.
When police responded, Ruelle immediately surrendered and officers seized a 12-gauge shotgun and an AR-15.
Ruelle was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, risk of injury to a minor, breach of peace and reckless endangerment.
He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on April 12.
No one was injured during the incident.
