Man's Body Found in Connecticut River

Middletown police are investigating.

Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in the Connecticut River in Middletown on Monday afternoon.

A boater called police just before 2:30 p.m. to report a body floating near the fuel dock behind the Pratt and Whitney complex on Aircraft Road.

The man is Caucasian, between 18 and 25, and was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt with a long sleeve gray shirt on top, and brown Timberland boots. He had short dark brown hair and one diamond stud earring in each ear, police said.

The man has not been identified and the cause of death is not known. An autopsy will be performed.

Middletown police are investigating and state environmental protection crews have been notified of the incident on the river.
