Resident Says Masked Man Attempted to Break Into Her Milford Home

A Milford neighborhood is on edge after a masked man has tried to break into homes several times this month

Sandra Gerber’s doorbell records video and caught images of the man who she said has been targeting her home.

"We can go down and see all the times there's motion at the front door," Gerber said. "It's been four times now."

Gerber said detectives told her that her home isn't the only one reporting attempted break-ins.

"The detectives said we are not the only house. My neighbor over here went and bought a gun," Gerber said.

The masked man has a pattern, visiting between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., she said.

He opens the screen door, checks the door knob and then leaves. Police have stepped up patrols and neighbors are keeping an eye an eye out for him.

"Everybody is on edge. We are nervous," Gerber said. "I feel uneasy, on edge. Your home is supposed to be your tranquil safe spot and you're not feeling very safe right now."

Gerber said the recorded attempts began in late June.

There have been no reports of the masked man getting into any of the homes.

If you have any information on who the man is, call Milford Police.
