Mayflower Replica Ship Sails to Mystic Seaport

Pilgrims sailed to Plymouth, Massachusetts on the Mayflower in 1620 and now a replica of the historic ship has made stops in Connecticut.

Mayflower II was slated to arrive at Mystic Seaport on Sunday afternoon after three days of being towed from Plymouth, Massachusetts. Along the way, the ship also docked overnight in New Bedford, Massachusetts and New London.

The ship, built in the United Kingdom in 1957, was scheduled to reach the mouth of the Mystic River between 1 and 1:30 p.m. and travel for an hour along the river to Mystic Seaport.

Plymouth Plantation owns the ship.
