Men Engage in Sexual Acts at Danbury Park : Police

Danbury police arrested two men accused to committing sex acts in a local park.

Police say in recent weeks they’ve received multiple complaints regarding activity at Farrington Woods Park at 127 Mill Plain Road. Some people said males are soliciting park goers for sex acts in the parking lot. Others reported men committing lewd acts in the woods and the parking lot.

On Tuesday around 6:38 p.m. officers observed a man, later identified as Richard Moynihan, 75, of Stormvillle, New York, park a red Chevy Colorado in the parking lot and walk up a trail. A bit later a second man, later identified as Ferney Arcila-Hernandez, 52, of Mahopac, New York, parked a white Honda CRV in the parking lot and walked up the same trail.

Officers followed Arcila-Hernandez and found the two men engaged in a sexual act in a clearing off the side of the main path.

Both men were arrested and charged with public indecency. They were released on $500 bonds and are expected in court on July 19.
