An 82-year-old Meriden man was killed on Tuesday morning when he was run over by his tractor.
Meriden police responded to 705 Bee St. at around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday after getting a call about an unoccupied farm tractor going in circles on the farm property.
When police arrived, they found David Bilger, the owner of the farm, lying on the ground and suffering from a severe head injury.
Bilger was taken to Midstate Medical Center and died a short time later.
Police said it appeared that Bilger might have been run over while attempting to hook the tractor to a trailer.
