Meriden Police Offer Reward in Double Shooting

Police announed a $25,000 reward for the double murder suspect.

Meriden detectives continue to offer a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with a fatal double shooting on Aug. 14.

Anthony Anderson, 25, and Melvin Silva-Pizarro, 30, both of Meriden, were found lying on the ground at the intersection of Crown and Olive streets, suffering from gunshot wounds, just after 10 p.m. on Aug. 14.

Both men were rushed to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and police said very little evidence was found at the scene.

The case remains under investigation.
