Middletown Man Sentenced for Possessing Thousands of Child Porn Images

A Middletown man was sentenced to federal prison for possessing thousands of child pornography images, in addition to hundreds of videos.

Paul Hubbard, 27, was sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release.

According to court documents, an investigation into Playpen, a global online forum where users distribute and access child porn, led to Hubbard's arrest in July 2015.

Police searched Hubbard's residence and his electronics had approximately 354 videos and 6,851 images of child pornography, including some content that had prepubescent minors portrayed sadistic or masochistic conduct, the U.S. attorney's office said.

In July 2016, Hubbard pleaded guilty to one count of child porn possession.
