Milford Cow's Days Are Numbered

It looks like the days are numbered for a runaway cow that traveled from Orange to Milford in two weeks.

The cow was spotted on Monday and Milford Animal Control Officer Rick George told the Connecticut Post yesterday that they are "developing a plan to capture it," although it's not likely to be on Tuesday.

The elusive bovine is in a wooded area surrounded by houses.

"We don't want amateurs going in after it, and we certainly don't want it to come out into the road and be hit by a car," George told the Post.

The 18-month-old, 600-pound calf jumped a fence on a farm in Orange -- about six miles from the Milford location and animal control officers warned last week that the cow could be dangerous since she likes to run and jump.

There is even a MilfordCow Twitter account about the cow's adventures on the lam: "They expect me to stay in the same pasture for a week!? I've got tickets to see the Spiderman Musical this weekend, I'm not staying put!!"
