Military Honors For Shelton Soldier

Army Lieutenant to be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery

Army First Lt. Thomas J. Brown of Shelton was killed September 23 in Iraq, when his patrol came under fire north of Baghdad.

His family held funeral services in October and he is set to be laid to rest Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery.

Brown was the 41st member of the military from Connecticut to die in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Governor M. Jodi Rell has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on Thursday in Lt. Brown's honor.  He'll be buried with full military honors.
