Police charged a Cromwell woman with leaving her 4-year-old son home alone on Tuesday.
Officers arrived at the home at 49 South St. around 7:30 a.m. after getting a call that a young child was wandering outside by himself. They found the boy in the driveway, police said.
The boy's mother, Doris Dery, 31, came home about 15 minutes after officers arrived, according to police. They charged her with risk of injury to a minor.
There is also an active warrant charging Dery with a failure to appear charge in New Haven. She was charged with that as well.
