During the first weekend of the Lenten season, someone knocked over statues of Jesus, Mary and Catholic saints at a Catholic cemetery in West Haven.
This weekend, someone struck again at St. Lawrence Cemetery and damaged 15 headstones, according to a Facebook post from West Haven police.
During the last vandalism spree police said some of the statues were fastened to headstones with steel rods and there was no way that wind, even strong gusts, could have done the damage.
