The number of families struggling to pay their fuel bills has grown this year and more help with fuel assistance is on the way.
More low- and moderate-income families applied for help this winter. Gov. M. Jodi Rell said more the number of applicants has increased more than 20 percent since two years ago. Rell said 65,000 people have applied for assistance this year.
