The American Red Cross has mobilized hundreds of trained disaster workers to join the Red Cross Volunteers already in place in three states. They are providing shelter supplies, meals, and other necessities to support the thousands of people in need.
As of Thursday afternoon, at least 11 Red Cross volunteers from Connecticut have deployed to the southeastern region to help with everything from sheltering those displaced to providing mental health services.
