Naked Man Causes Major Highway Crash

A naked man claiming to be Jesus triggered a major crash on Interstate 95 in Norwalk, The Hour of Norwalk reported.

It started in Darien early Saturday morning.  Police responded to a call of a nude man causing a disturbance on I-95 northbound near exit 14, according to the paper.

When officers arrived, the man jumped into a silver car and took off, leading police on a chase north on the highway, police said.

With the help of State Police, officers pulled the car over near exit 16 in Norwalk, but that's when the real problems began.  A driver stopped short to look at the scene unfolding by exit 16, forcing a tractor trailer driver to slam on his brakes, according to The Hour.  The truck jackknifed, hitting several cars before flipping over and coming to rest against a tree.

Rescue crews responding to the accident, found the truck driver trapped in the cab of the tractor trailer. Only the man's elbow was visible to rescuers, according to Westport Assistant Fire Chief Robert Yost.

Crews used "almost every available tool" to help free the man, Yost said.

Once metal was cut away from parts of the truck's cab, paramedics were able to climb inside and begin treating the injured driver, according to Yost.

The driver was freed after three hours and rushed to the hospital.  His condition was not known.
