A Cape Cod beach was temporarily closed after a shark was seen eating a seal just 100 yards from the shore on Friday morning.

The shark was seen in front of the south lifeguard tower at Nauset Public Beach.

Then, Friday evening at Marconi Beach in Wellfleet, a lifeguard spotted a shark breaching the water about 100 to 150 yards offshore. The beach was closed to swimmers through 5:50 p.m.

Sharks have been spotted off beaches up and down Cape Cod this summer.
