New Britain Bank Robbed

The suspect threatened bank employees, police said.

Police in New Britain are looking for a man who robbed a bank Wednesday.

A man walked into the TD Bank branch at 587 Hartford Road around 2 p.m. carrying a satchel. He threatened to harm bank employees and demanded money from a teller, police said. The man implied he had weapons.

He took off with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

The suspect is described as being 20 to 30 years old and approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket with zippered breast pockets, dark-colored jeans, a Florida Marlins baseball cap and plastic-rimmed glasses with a tiger stripe pattern.

New Britain police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to call them at 860-826-3000.
