A New Britain man suspected of setting fire to a vacant home at 38 Winthrop Street has been arrested, according to police.
Police said the house was damaged by fire early Saturday morning and no one was hurt.
John DiPietro, 40, was charged with first-degree arson and burglary in the third-degree.
DiPierto was taken into questioning and admitted to starting the fire, according to police.
He is being held on a $250,000 bond.
