New Charges for Berlin Priest

Rev. Michael MIller was arrested for the second time in less than a year after police found child porn on his computer.

New shocking allegations against a Berlin priest. Police said Michael Miller, a priest from St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church turned himself in last week in connection with a child porn investigation.

“It is unbelievable.  I’m really still shocked to hear,” said parishioner Lynn Armstrong.

New court documents showed authorities looked through two of Miller’s computer and found numerous files showing obscene pictures of kids and child porn.

“I would never have suspected any of that,” Armstrong added.

A Church group posted his $300,000 bond. Miller is getting treatment at a rehab center.

In a statement, The Archdiocese of Hartford said, “The Archdiocese of Hartford, Franciscan Friars Conventual, and St. Paul Church condemn the type of misconduct that has been alleged and extend their sincere sympathies to those adversely affected by it. If found guilty of the charges, Fr. Miller will never return to ministry."

Rev. Michael Miller was arrested last summer after police said he was having graphic conversations with a 13 year old boy through Facebook and texting.

According to the arrest warrant, he confessed to having those conversations but said he never had physical contact with the boy.  That’s when he gave up those computers, and what police said they found on them landed Miller behind bars for the second time in less than a year.

Last August, Miller wouldn't answer questions after his court appearance in that case.

It's up a judge now to decide his fate. Miller will be court for the child pornography case on July 9th.
