It appears that the chief of police in New Haven is making changes to the department.
Police Chief Dean Esserman on Monday afternoon will hold a news conference on leadership in the department and reducing violence in the city.
The New Haven Register reports that Esserman plans to appoint four new assistant chiefs.
Esserman previously asked three assistant police chiefs to step aside.
