New Haven Police Investigate String of Robberies

Police are investigating eight armed robberies.

New Haven police are investigating several armed commercial robberies and said are looking for one man they believe is behind all of them.

In each case, a masked male with a handgun has demanded money. 

The robberies occurred:

  • On Dec. 19 at 220 Grand Ave.
  • Dec. 26 at 313 Grand Ave. and 337 Lombard St.
  • Dec. 30, at 308 Grand Ave.
  • Jan. 10 at 141 Willow St.
  • Jan. 12, at 1228 Quinnipiac Ave.
  • Jan. 21, at 63 York St.
  • Jan. 23 at 888 Grand Ave.

The man is 5 feet, 8 to 5 feet, 10, with a medium build. He was wearing a full face mask, black jacket with a white or gray stripe going down each sleeve, black pants and tan work boots.
He has a prominent nose.

In the last robbery, he drove off in a dark-colored vehicle, police said.
