New Haven Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect

New Haven police are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery at the Key Bank on Church Street Monday morning.

According to police, around 8:45 a.m. a male suspect entered the location at 195 Church Street and passed a note to a teller demanding cash. She teller complied and the suspect fled with the cash. No weapon was shown and no injuries were reported.

The suspect fled on foot down Elm Street toward State Street.

The suspect is described as around 6-foot with a stocky build, a short beard and moustache. He was wearing silver-rimmed glasses, dark-colored pants or jeans, white sneakers, a plaid black and white button down shirt and a black flat-brimmed baseball cap with “$$$” embroidered on the front.
