NBA Player Kris Dunn Returns to New London and Gives Students Day to Remember

Kris Dunn left New London High School in 2012, but the school is still enough of a force in the NBA rookie's life that he spent a beautiful Thursday afternoon with hundreds of students there.

Students, 447 of them lined up early to get a T-shirt reading "Job Well Dunn" and cheered his return to the gym where he was twice state high school player of the year.

"You could be an artist, you could be a journalist, you can do whatever you want," the fifth pick in this year's NBA draft, by the Minnesota Timberwolves, told them. "As long as you love it, you have fun with it, you go hard for it, just do that! I think that's the big thing."

At Ocean Beach Park, he received official recognition from the city government and board of education and signed more autographs reading “Kris Dunn Number 3.”
