A 47-year-old North Haven man was killed in a crash on Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven around 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Police said Angelo Annunzaito, of Manor Drive, had committed a robbery at Vic’s Café on Quinnipiac Avenue, hit a North Haven police officer’s cruiser, fled and was ejected after hitting another car carrying an East Haven woman and year-and-a-half-year-old twins.
Police said Annunzaito, tried to pass vehicles in a no-passing zone, hit a Toyota Camry carrying the East Haven woman and twins, was ejected from his pickup and died from his injuries.
The victims were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
