Investigators have determined the identity of a woman whose remains were found Sunday off of Oxoboxo Dam Road in Montville. The cause of her death has not yet been determined.
State Police say she has been identified as Erika Cirioni, a 26-year-old mother of two who was last seen in Norwich on Dec. 31, 2006.
Her mother,Carol Cirioni, had reported her missing on Jan. 3, 2007.
"When you lose a child, you're losing half of yourself. I mean, part of yourself is just gone," Cirioni said.
The incident remains under investigation.
