Nurse Stole Prescription Drugs From Stratford Rehab Facility: Cops

Police have arrested a nurse accused of swapping prescription drugs with over-the-counter medications at a Stratford rehabilitation center and keeping the pills.

According to police, Jaimie Fitcher, 39, of Seymour, took prescription medication, including Oxycodone and Diazepam, from patients at the Lord Chamberlain Rehabilitation Facility at 7003 Main Street in Stratford.

Police said she admitted to switching out the prescription pills for allergy medications and Tylenol and keeping the prescription drugs. She was found with 20 pills at the time of her arrest Monday.

Fitcher has been charged with reckless endangerment, illegally obtaining narcotics, illegally possessing narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, failure to keep prescription medication in a proper container and misrepresentation of a controlled substance.

She was held on $25,000 bond.
