A 52-year-old Old Lyme man was hit by a pickup when he stepped into Boston Post Road in Old Lyme early Friday morning and LifeStar responded, according to state police.
Police said Eric Powers, 52, stepped into the road near his house just after 1:30 a.m. and was struck. LifeStar brought him to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Police are investigating and said it’s not clear why Powers stepped into the road.
