The New London Fire Department is investigating an apartment fire that sent one person to the hospital with injuries Saturday morning.
According to officials the fire started around 11 am at an apartment building on 46 Crystal Ave.
The New London Submarine Base fire department assisted with extinguishing the fire, which caused heavy damage to the fifth floor.
One person was taken toLawrence and Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
The fire is still under investigation.
