Power outages are affecting the 911 center, a hospital and thousands of people in New Haven on Sunday.
According to New Haven Office of Emergency Management Director Rick Fontana, the 911 center is operating on back up power, as well as parts of Yale-New Haven Hospital.
He said there are major power outages in the city. Approximately 32 outages are affecting more than 6,800 residential and commercial customers as of 12 p.m.
There is no estimate for how long it will take for power to be fully restored.
