Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries in Crash in Farmington

A woman was seriously hurt when she was hit by a car in Farmington Friday night, according to police.

Farmington Police responded to 76 Main Street around 9:30 p.m. after getting a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. 

A preliminary investigation shows a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee was taking a left into the parking lot when it collided with a 57-year-old woman who was walking across the entrance to the Farmington Fire Department parking lot, according to police.

The woman was transported to St. Francis Hospital to be treated for a serious head injury, officers said.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad responded to the scene and is investigating the accident.
