Pedestrian Struck by Car in Vernon

    Emergency officials are responding to Route 30 in Vernon, where a pedestrian was struck by a car outside the Sleeping Giant Apartments, according to police.

    Police said it happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday. The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.

    The pedestrian's injuries are unknown. LifeStar was called to the scene but later canceled.

    Police are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
