Interstate 84 in Waterbury has fully reopened after police activity closed lanes on both sides of the highway on Wednesday afternoon.
I-84 westbound was closed before exit 18, according to state Department of Transportation officials.
The two left lanes of I-84 eastbound were closed at exit 19, officials added.
All of the lanes on both sides of the highway have since reopened.
Motorists are urged to expect delays.
