Police Arrest Shelton Residence Inn Robbery Suspects

Police arrested two men Monday who are connected to an armed robbery at a Residence Inn in Shelton at the end of June.

Lancelot Supersad Jr., 19, and Anthony Santiago, 20, both of Brigeport, face robbery charges.

Two employees at the 1001 Bridgeport Avenue Residence Inn told police that two men came into the hotel with a gun on June 26 at 8:15 p.m., demanded money and then fled in a vehicle driven by someone waiting for them outside.

No one was injured.

Police charged Supersad Jr. and Santiago with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny and held both of them on $75,000 bonds. They are both scheduled to appear in court in Derby on July 22.
