Police Arrest Suspect in Armed Robbery of Brooklyn Gas Station

State police have arrested a suspect in the armed robbery of a Brooklyn gas station in May.

According to police, two men entered Chucky’s gas station at 500 Providence Road shortly before midnight May 29. One suspect grabbed the cashier from behind, held a metal object against his neck and demanded money.

Police said the cashier opened the register and handed cash to the second suspect.

Investigators have identified 26-year-old Wilfredo Cardona, of Danielson, as one of the two suspects. Police arrested Cardona and charged him with first-degree robbery, fifth-degree larceny and breach of peace.

He’s being held on $5,000 bond and is due in court Aug. 1.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
