Driver Killed in Hartford Crash Suffered Medical Emergency: Cops

A 62-year-old man was killed Tuesday after suffering a medical emergency behind the wheel and crashing his car in Hartford, according to police.

Police said the man lost control of his vehicle around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and Washington Street in Hartford. First responders arrived to find him in cardiac arrest.

Authorities have not released the driver's name but said he was a Hartford resident. He was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
