Police have identified the woman found dead in the backyard of a home in Hamden.
The body of Christine Pate, 50, was found on a woodpile behind the house at 388 Woodin Street March 8, according to Hamden police.The homeowner found her and called police.
Pate, who lived at 451 Putnam Avenue in Hamden, had been reported missing by her "Housing Care Manager" earlier that day, police said. She was last seen around Feb. 29.
Pate's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, but her cause and manner of death have not been determined. Investigators are waiting on toxicology reports from the medical examiner, police said.
