Police Investigate Multiple Wethersfield Car Break-Ins

Police are investigating a rash of car break-ins in Wethersfield.

Several residents on Dix Road reported that items had been stolen from unlocked vehicles parked in the neighborhood. One father and son pair had hundreds of dollars worth of property stolen.

"They had taken out the middle console and dropped everything on the middle seat," Bill Charamut Jr said.

"I haven't locked my car in my life and I'm going to now," his father, Bill Charamut said. "Very annoying."

The exact number of cars burglarized was unclear, but police say more than a dozen people called in. No one is in custody, but police suspect two young men are to blame.

Police remind residents to lock their vehicles.
