Police Look for 2 Men in Credit Card Theft

State police said these two men used stolen credit card information to buy $2,000 worth of gift cards.

State police in New Canaan are looking for two men they believe stole a victim’s credit card information and used it to buy more than $2,000 worth of gift cards as several Stop & Shop stores.

State police said the men somehow obtained the victim’s credit card information and used it to get their own credit cards, which they then used at buy gift cards at Stop & Shop stores, as well as other stores, in Bristol, Wethersfield, Glastonbury, Rocky Hill, Newington, East Hartford, Hartford, West Hartford and New Paltz, New York.

State police are looking for two men in their 20s who were driving a white four door sedan.

One man was wearing an olive jacket, tan pants and tan work boots. The other was wearing a dark blue winter coat, jeans and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about the two men is asked to call state police at Troop B at (860)824-2555 ext. 1063.
