Police Make Arrest at Unlicensed West Haven Massage Parlor

Police are investigating possible prostitution at The Marigold Spa.

West Haven police are investigating an unlicensed massage parlor as a possible house of prostitution.

Police worked with the city health and building departments and closed down The Marigold Spa, at 236 Captain Thomas Boulevard, weeks ago, police said.

Over the weeks since, nearby businesses have filed several complaints that the massage parlor remains open, so police responded again on Thursday.

When police arrived, Lin Ying, of Brooklyn, New York, answered the door and then slammed it shut after noticing police, police said.

Ying was charged with interfering with a police officer and practice restriction to licensed persons.

Police said they believe The Marigold Spa is being used for prostitution, continue to investigate and expect to make more arrests.
