Police Release Names of Drivers in Coventry Crash

Police have released the names of the two people who were involved in a serious crash on Route 44 in Coventry on Wednesday afternoon.

An SUV and a motorcycle heading in opposite directions collided in the area of the 7-Eleven store at 2711 Boston Turnpike at 2:45 p.m.

Police have identified the motorcycle driver as Leroy Brown, 71, of Coventry. LifeStar transported him from the crash scene to St. Francis Hospital.

Ahmed Ouda, 18, of Coventry was driving the 2004 Honda Pilot SUV, according to state police, and was transported to Rockville Hospital, where he was treated and released.    

The road was closed for an exended period of time as emergency crews responded.

No charges have been filed. Police are investigating and ask anyone with information about the crash to call Officer Jeffrey Spadjinske at 860-742-7331.
