Convenience Store Owner Shot in Bristol

The owner of a Bristol convenience store was shot on Sunday night and police are looking for the shooter as well as a possible getaway driver.

Police said a fight broke out in the alley near Stat's Convenience on School Street and Tajaree Walker Sr., 25, was shot once in the upper thigh/buttocks area just after 9 p.m.

Walker was taken to Bristol Hospital to be treated for a non-life threatening injury.

Several people were involved in the altercation when the shooting happened, according to police, and  the cause of the disturbance is unknown. 

Police have not identified any suspects, but said the shooter was a tall man wearing a dark shirt.  

Another person might have given him a ride away from the scene in a dark  vehicle.
