Police Search for Person of Interest in East Windsor Assault

East Windsor police are searching for a person of interest after an assault on Saturday morning.

According to police, one female cut another female on the face and chest with what was described as a box cutter on North Road around 8:00 a.m. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Officers identified 32-year-old Nefertiti Walker as a person of interest. They say she resides in the Broad Brook section of town, but has fled her residence and her place of employment.

The East Windsor Police Department says they are looking to speak with her about the assault.

She was last seen leaving the scene in a grey 2004 Mercedes E500 with Connecticut license plate AN46384 with an unknown man.

If you know where Walker may be, you're encouraged to contact police at (860) 292-8240.

Officers say this was not a random act of violence and the two people involved know each other.
