Police Search for Purse Snatching Suspect

Police are looking for Heather Alarcon.

New Britain police are looking for the suspect in a purse snatching on Sunday in which a 75-year-old woman was pushed to the ground.

Police said Heather Alarcon was in a car, pulled the victim’s purse away from herin the parking lot of CVS at 177 Columbus Boulevard and struck the woman with the vehicle as she fled.

Alarcon also goes by Heather Marie Cahill, according to New Britain police.

The 75-year-old was treated at a hospital and released, police said.

Alarcon is a has lived in Middletown, East Hampton, Southington and Meriden, police said. She is believed to be in the company of a man named Alfred, who is also known as “Stuff.”

Police said she is known to frequent shopping areas and is the suspect in several other purse snatching cases in New Britain and surrounding towns.

Police said she is 5 feet, 7 to 5 feet, 9, has shoulder-length black hair and weighs 215 to 250 pounds.
